The team started out on beam, a particularly tough place to begin competition. Junior Autumn Mille led off with a solid performance to get the meet started. Her routine included a perfect middle split. Sarah Bearden went up next and delivered a routine with a press-handstand mount and two back-walkovers. Senior Bella Berrios followed with flawless turns, jumps and a twisting dismount. Kathleen Iacobelli delivered a routine with a back tuck and a gainer dismount. Freshman Rebecca DeMouey was the bar specialist and she led the team to a very strong routine with a clear hip. Bella followed her with a second solid routine. Kathleen hit her giant and landed a fly-away dismount. Kira wrapped up their work on bars with a handstand pirouette.

Lassiter features two vault specialists, Junior Neena Madhure and Junior Joely Goss. They both did half-ons to put the team in a great position. Kathleen performed a half-on, full-off. Bella hit a strong front handspring and Kira delivered a tsuk to score a 9.0.
